This piece consists of a series of fragile wooden frames, one behind the other. Thin horizontal wires are stretched across each frame and folded, slightly transparent pieces of paper hang from them in an irregular pattern. Initially, the work arose from a formal approach, investigating material and form. However, gradually it began to take on a deeper meaning for me. It is about the layering of memories, and how something that happened recently can fade while a memory from the distant past remains crystal clear. That is why I called it 'Transparent Memories'.
This work marked a turning point for me. The voice of the material remains important and form still plays a significant role. But from this point onwards, my own voice became the driving force behind my work.
